Lanzones is a tropical fruit, it is a berry-like, pale brown-skinned, tropical fruit, with sweet, transluscent flesh that grows abundantly on
the north-central coast of Mindanao. The province of Camiguin, the major producer of Lanzones in the Philippines, is known to breed the sweetest lanzones. It is Camiguins primary source of livelihood. The lanzones season is sometime during the 3rd week of October. The harvest of sweet lanzones fruit is celebrated every year in October with a weekend of street dancing, parade and pageants in the town of Mambajao.
